Frequently Asked Questions
On this page you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about Aifcandles, our products, orders, shipping, payments and B2B accounts.
General questions
What are Aifcandles LED candles made of?
The outside of our LED candles is made of 100% paraffin wax, which gives them a natural and atmospheric look. Please do not place the candles in direct sunlight or in warm places, as the wax may melt.
Can the candles be used outdoors?
All Aifcandles LED candles are made of wax. This makes them unsuitable for outdoor use, as the wax can be damaged by sunlight, moisture or changes in temperature. Should a special outdoor version become available in the future, this will be clearly stated in the product description.
Are the candles safe for children and pets?
Yes, LED candles give off no heat or fire, so they are safe in a home with children and pets. Please keep in mind that the candles are made of real wax and are therefore fragile. It is best not to place them where children can easily reach them.
Are the LED candles fragile?
Yes, our LED candles are made of real candle wax (paraffin) and can therefore break or crack if handled incorrectly.
Which batteries do I need and are they included?
Most candles run on 2x AAA batteries. At Aifcandles, batteries are often included, and this is also clearly stated in the product description. That way the candle can be enjoyed straight away or given as a gift right away.
How long do the batteries last?
Depending on the type of candle and batteries, up to 100 hours of burning time. We recommend replacing the batteries every 3 months for the best results.
What are the small silicone rings supplied with the LED candles for?
We supply small silicone rings with our LED dinner candles. You can slide them around the bottom of the LED candle so that it stands extra firmly in the candle holder. Handy when you use a (slightly too) large candle holder or simply want the candle to stand more stably.
💡 Use & features
How does the remote control work?
All LED candles have a 6-hour timer function. For example, if you switch them on at 7:00 pm, they will stay lit automatically until 1:00 am and switch on again at 7:00 pm the next day.
The remote control is optional and adds extra convenience. It lets you switch the candles on or off in between, without disturbing the set timer. On first use, you do need to switch the candles on manually so that the remote control can connect. Always point the remote control at the candle and use it within a range of 3 metres.
Which LED candles can I use the remote control with?
Unfortunately, not all LED candles work with a remote control (yet). If the title includes RC (Remote Control), the candle can be operated with the remote control. This is also always clearly stated in the product description.
Can I control several candles at once with one remote control?
Yes, you can! Provided the LED candles carry the RC (Remote Control) label. All candles suitable for the remote control can be operated at the same time, as long as they are within range and you point the remote control at the candles.
Can the LED candle be placed in any candle holder?
For most Aifcandles LED candles, you need a candle holder with an opening of at least 2.2 cm. For the dipped Pillar LED candles, which are often slightly thicker because they are dipped in two layers of wax, a candle holder from 2.3 cm is recommended.
It is better to choose a candle holder that is slightly too wide than one that is too narrow. A holder that is too small can cause the bottom of the candle to break off more easily. With a wider candle holder, feel free to use the supplied silicone rings for extra stability.
We also recommend not moving the candles from one candle holder to another all the time, but simply leaving them in place to prevent damage.
My LED candle no longer switches on, what can I do?
– Check the batteries and replace them if necessary.
– Check that the + and – poles are positioned correctly.
– Is the timer function still on? Wait until the cycle starts again, or remove the batteries and put them back in.
How an LED candle works ✨
In this video I show how our LED candles are built and how they work. You can see the flickering flame up close, the use of real candle wax and how easy it is to insert the batteries and set the timer.
Our LED candles combine atmosphere with convenience. They give warm light without smoke or heat, making them a safe choice for any interior, including homes with children or pets.
